10 THINGS I’M GRATEFUL FOR IN 2016

ENG: Surprisingly it is THAT time of the year again, when we slow down a bit, look back and reflect on what happened the past year, what we learned, what made us happy, what brought us joy.

I can honestly say, that 2016 has been a great year for me, and I am so looking forward to the next one. I did not have a word for 2016, but now as I look back I would choose “CHANGE” to capture the essence of the past 12 months. It’s been lots of comfort zone stretching alongside with many lessons in self development, and I loved it.

The list below highlights some of the best parts of 2016 that I am hugely grateful for (do let me know about some of yours, i would love to hear them!):

  1. LEFT A SHITTY JOB – after months of consideration and hesitation I finally stood up for myself and gave my notice in a job, that was killing my soul and went against most of my principles.
  2. MOVED TO A GREAT NEW HOME – after 5 years we had to leave our previous home, because of the landlord’s poor & greedy life choices, so we managed to find our current place in 2 days, in the same area, but with much better qualities.
  3. DID A 30 DAY DETOX – in April I managed to pull off a whole month of serious detox, something, that I had never done before, not even a short term diet. It was sugar-, gluten- and dairy-free. This time I planned ahead, did a big research and mentally decided that no matter what, I was going to do it. And so I did it!
  4. MY GRANNY SURVIVED A HEART ATTACK – summer was extremely stressful, including my grandmother having a heart attack. It happened while we were at home on a holiday, so I got the chance to visit her, which on one hand was reassuring, but on the other hand it was devastating to see a loved one in that state. Fortunately, she survived it, and that’s what matters!
  5. MY PARENTS VISITED US IN LONDON – Finally, after 5 years they came to see me again. I loved having them around, especially considering that we are staying in London for Christmas, far away from our parents in Slovakia.
  6. BECAME AN EVEN BETTER TEAM WITH HUBBY – Thanks to my therapy and constant work on self-awareness, I feel like our marriage became even stronger and better.
  7. ORGANIZED THE FAB WMN PARTY – the idea of the tea party was born in May, and after careful organization and management it all happened in October. It was super successful – read about HERE.
  8. LEARNED TO LOVE MYSELF – it is a big one, and I can say now with clear heart, that after a long time I learned to love myself again – just the way I am…
  9. FOUND COACHING – the FAB WMN project has brought so many changes into my life and gave context to many of my ideas, dreams, so eventually it led me to coaching as well. At the beginning of December I went for a 2 day foundation course in coaching, where I realized, that this is it, my calling, the tool to put all the puzzles together. Since then I enrolled to the Coaching Academy, and also started to volunteer at a girls’ club in Chelsea, where I’ll help girls aged 14-18 to become mentally healthy & confident women.
  10. WONDERFUL ACQUAINTANCES – I met many-many new great people this year, who inspired me on my journey, but not only them I am grateful for. It is also the “old” friends, family, who still inspire me, teach me to see the world from a different perspective, who reflects on my existence, showing me a mirror, and showering me with kindness and love.

With that in my mind I wish everyone a wonderful Christmas time and a prosperous New Year full of love, health and balance!

HU: Hihetetlen, de ujra elerkeztunk egy ev vegehez, amikor jot tesz, ha kisse lelassulunk es atgondoljuk, hogy mi minden tortent iden, miert vagyunk halasak. Oszinten mondhatom, hogy a 2016-os ev nagyon jo volt szamomra es alig varom, hogy az uj ev ezt tovabb fokozza.

Nem volt szavam az idei evre, de igy visszatekintve a “VALTOZAS”-t valasztanam, ez a szo foglalja leginkabb ossze az elmult 12 honap torteneseit. Szamtalan alkalommal billentett ki a komfort zonambol, amit egy ido utan mar magamtol tettem meg, hogy fejlodjek, tanuljak.

Keszitettem egy listat azokrol a dolgokrol, esemenyekrol, amelyekert a leghalasabb vagyok iden (kommentben te is oszd meg velem a tied, nagyon orulnek neki):

  1. FELMONDTAM EGY ROSSZ MUNKAHELYEN – honapokon at tarto hezitalas utan juniusban vegre vettem a batorsagot es beadtam a felmondasom egy olyan munkahelyen, ahol nagyon rosszul ereztem magam, ahol diszkriminalva voltam es ahol a legtobb dolog szembenallt az igazsagerzetemmel, elveimmel.
  2. UJ OTTHONT TALALTUNK – 5 ev utan sajnos el kellett koltoznunk az elozo lakasunkbol, de ket nap alatt megtalaltuk a jelenlegit, ami ugyanazon a kornyeken van, de sokkal nagyobb, szebb es otthonosabb.
  3. VEGIGCSINALTAM EGY 30 NAPOS DETOXOT – aprilisban hosszas felkeszules utan megcsinaltam egy tisztitokurat, ami cukor-, gluten- es tejtermekmentes volt. Soha azelott meg egy napos detoxot sem birtam megcsinalni, nemhogy egy hosszabb kurat, ezert is volt szamomra ez ekkora sikerelmeny. Fejben is nagyon rakeszultem, es eldontottem, hogy ezt most vegigviszem, nincs kifogas. Ugy is lett!
  4. MAMA TULELTE A SZIVROHAMOT – felettebb stresszes volt a nyar, tobbek kozott azert is, mert a nagymamam szivrohamot kapott. Epp otthon voltunk nyaralni, igy meg tudtam ot latogatni, ami egyreszt megnyugato volt, hogy elsokezbol kaptam az informaciot, nem a tavoli Londonbol izgultam agyon magam. Masreszt viszont szornyu volt ot igy latni. Ami viszont a legfontosabb, hogy vegigcsinalta es ket hettel kesobb mar ablakot mosott (amit nem kellett volna, de mama kemenyfeju…)
  5. SZULEIM MEGLATOGATTAK MINKET LONDONBAN – 5 ev utan vegre ujra eljottek Londonba  a szuleim egy hosszu hetvegere, ami azert is extra jo dolog, mert iden mi Londonban karacsonyozunk, tavol az otthoni csaladtol, s mivel ok december elejen voltak itt, kevesbe faj a tavollet.
  6. MEG EROSEBB CSAPAT LETTUNK A PAROMMAL – iden is becsuletesen folytattam a terapiamat, ami tovabbra is rengeteget segit az onfejlesztesben, s ezaltal a masokkal valo kapcsolataimat is pozitivan befolyasolja, igy a hazassagunkat is.
  7. MEGSZERVEZTEM A FAB WMN TEAPARTIT – majusban jott az otlet, hogy a blogomon futo projektet eloben is megvalositsam, s oktoberben valora is valt a dolog. Az esemeny nagy sikernek orvendett – ITT olvashatsz rola bovebben.
  8. MEGTANULTAM UJRA SZERETNI MAGAM – egy nagyon nagy dolog, de hosszu ido utan tiszta szivbol mondhatom, hogy megtanultam ujra szeretni magam – pont ugy, szorostul-borostul, ahogy vagyok…
  9. ELKEZDTEM A COACHINGOT – a FAB WMN projekt soran szamtalan uj lehetoseg talalt ram, ezek egyike egy ketnapos coaching alaptanfolyam volt december elejen. Imadtam, es egybol tudtam, hogy ezt akarom csinalni, ez az egyik eszkoz a reg dedelgetett almaim megvalositasahoz. Azota mar be is iratkoztam az akademiara, emellett pedig onkentes lettem egy londoni lanyokat tamogato, segito klubban, ahol a “THE AVENUE” program kereteben en is hozzajarulok majd, hogy egeszseges, onbizalommal teli nokke valjanak a tinedzser csoport tagjai.
  10. SZAMOS ISMERETSEG – az idei ev fantasztikus uj emberekkel hozott ossze, de nemcsak ertuk vagyok halas, hanem a mar meglevo barataimert, szeretteimert is, akik folyamatosan tamogatnak, inspiralnak, tukrot mutatnak es legfokepp szeretnek.

  1. That’s a great list of things to be thankful for! I am dairy-free all the time (12 years vegan) and I feel great! I confess I’m not sugar-free, but I avoid it as much as possible.
